Come and experience a day with the volunteers at the Rowhill Nature Reserve in Cranmore Lane, Aldershot.
Rowhill contains the source of the River Blackwater – and a whole lot more besides. It has a wide range of habitats making it very popular with walkers and local residents.
The Reserve Field Centre will be open from 10am and you are welcome to just turn up, bringing nothing except sturdy footwear.
What you will do will depend on your ability to carry out physical activity – you can assist by gentle pruning, or by heavy work wearing waders in the pond, or removing invasive species. Projects on the day are likely to include widening of the main spine path, or repair of pathways and, if materials have arrived, construction of a new boardwalk.
The Field Centre will be open from about 1pm for teas and coffees - and possibly a barbecue, depending on numbers - until the evening when the moth survey will start.
