The next Paul Sanders walk for the Blackwater Valley Countryside Trust will be on Saturday June 16th. This will be a circular walk starting at Eversley Church and heading east through Eversley Copse and on to the Blackwater river then passing Firgrove Manor and Kits Croft to the edge of Castle Bottom and following the Welsh Drive and back to Eversley Church through the Bramshill plantation.
It is around 7 miles with no stiles, there are a couple of inclines but the view from the first is well worth the effort. The bluebells may have gone but we should pass through fields covered in clover and buttercups and we will have splendid view of the fishing lakes at Eversley Cross and we will see some of the new ponds created after the recent completion of the sand and gravel excavations. We will also follow the river for nearly a mile - this area was teaming in dragonflies and damselflies this morning. However there will be a bit of road walking mostly on pavements.
The walk will start at 10:00 and we should be back shortly after 13:00. Join us please and enjoy your Valley.
