Natural Surrey Heath is a project jointly sponsored by Blackwater Valley Countryside Trust and The Camberley Society

We aim to make Surrey Heath a natural borough. A place where people and wildlife are better connected. A borough that is rich with wildlife and every child benefits from exploring, playing and learning outdoors. A borough where we all enjoy high-quality green spaces, nature surrounds our homes, the air is clean to breathe and it is a pleasure to walk everywhere.

Together let’s make Surrey Heath one of the most beautiful and naturally diverse places in the country. This is the start of a journey, learning from experience here we will spread our initiative to the whole Blackwater Valley making it a great place to live, work and play. Our project needs people support to make it happen. Our first step in helping nature is to give away 50 free nest box kits to Surrey Heath residents to celebrate National Nestbox week. Getting a nest box allows you to see nest building, egg laying, incubating, feeding young and fledging in your own garden – a wonderful way to get close to nature. If you don’t manage to get a free nest box from us they are widely available and as long as you get one in place by mid March you could have birds nesting in your garden very soon.
