How you can help us
Our work is to conserve, protect and improve the Blackwater Valley to create a better environment for both the people and wildlife that live here. To achieve this, we need your help!
We identify environmental projects within the Valley and, where possible, we look for grant monies to pay for them.
Members’ subscriptions cover our running costs.
We have specific appeals each year to raise funds, but we are always in need of general donations to enable us to respond to urgent requests.
Help us meet our objectives by making a donation via the red link below Donate to BVCT and/or by joining us as a member.
If you are passionate about preserving and enhancing the natural environment of the Blackwater Valley, become a member of the Trust today by downloading our Membership Application Form via the link below.
As a member, you will receive our monthly newsletters telling you about our events including our walks and talks, projects and volunteering opportunities. You can attend our free monthly guided walks in the Valley and our annual walk, the Big Valley Ramble. You will also be invited to attend our Annual General Meeting to meet other members and our trustees, learn about our activities and plans for next year and listen to a free talk on a topic of interest.
There are many ways to help us.
You can enjoy the Valley by helping others to enjoy it. Become part of our team of volunteers, even if you can only give an hour a month. Many take part in an active way, getting exercise, helping to maintain habitats, clear paths, plant trees, monitor wildlife, and so on.
You can also join our management team and help run the Trust - more information on this is on our About Us page.
If you want to help in some way but you are not sure how, contact us and we’ll get back to you.
