Blackwater Valley Countryside Trust

The Trust’s work is to conserve, protect and improve the Blackwater Valley to create a better environment for both the people and wildlife that live here. To achieve this objective we need your help!

Funding

We do this in many ways, but principally through a program of organised events providing opportunities for volunteers to get involved, and identifying improvement projects. Where possible, we look for grant monies to pay for the projects, and members’ subscriptions cover our running costs.  We have specific appeals each year to raise funds,  but we are always in need of general donations to enable us to respond to urgent requests. Help us meet our objectives by making a donation via the "Donate to BVCT" link and/or becoming a paid up member.

Membership

New members are always welcome to help run the Trust. You don't have to become a full-blown Trustee, as there are many different support roles. Time is not a factor, as you can make a difference by giving us as little as an hour a month. Skills useful to us range from administration, practical gardening, conservation experience, planning knowledge, fundraising, and project management. Help us to provide a local environment for the local community simply by joining us. Become a member today by downloading  the Membership Application Form. Join today

Volunteering

You can enjoy the Valley by helping others to enjoy it. Become part of our team of volunteers, even if you can only give an hour a month. Many take part in an active way, getting exercise, helping to maintain habitats, clear paths, plant trees, monitor wildlife, and so on. There are many other ways to help. You may have administrative skills that would help us raise money for our environmental projects, publicise our events, communicate with members, and so on. If you just want to help in some way but you are not sure how, click this link and we’ll get back to you - but we will be able to do it that much quicker if you put your phone number in the message box.
